What we offer

Children and teens grieve differently. Brighter Days responds with compassionate options that respect age, development, personality, culture, and each family’s needs.

Ages 5–12

Children’s Peer Support

Guided conversations, journaling, memory activities, art, storytelling, coping skills, and peer connection in a caring environment.

Ages 13–17

Teen Grief Support

Supportive opportunities where teens can process grief, connect with peers, and share when they are ready—without pressure.

For caregivers

Family Resources

Educational materials, practical guidance, community referrals, and tools for supporting grieving children at home.

Comfort & coping

Hope Backpacks

Age-appropriate resources and comfort items that help children express, remember, and cope.

For the community

Grief Education

Workshops and information for families, schools, churches, and community organizations supporting grieving children.

When more is needed

Trusted Referrals

Connections to licensed mental health professionals and other trusted community resources when clinical or specialized care is appropriate.

Our scope of care

Brighter Days provides peer support, grief education, family resources, and community connection.

Our services are not emergency care, crisis services, medical care, or clinical mental health therapy. When a child or family needs additional support, we encourage connection with licensed professionals and trusted resources.
